The weather has been great the last couple of days, so Riley and I have been hitting the parks! Wow - we haven't been to the park in a while, and I can't believe how much she has changed just in that little time! The things that I used to have to help her with, she no longer needs (or wants) my help with. Riley has quite an imagination. This play-thing that she is on now looks somewhat like a boat. Riley would slide down the slide, scream "Sharks, Sharks, Sharks," then run around as fast as she could to the other side and climb up, do the whole thing over again. Several times she would warn me also about the sharks, and I would have to stand up on the play area with her!

Halloween 2006

Riley had two different halloweens this year. I really wanted to take in the Woodland Zoo Halloween, which was on a weekend, not Halloween. We were so glad we did this. We recommend it to anyone! We had such a great time and the set up they do at the zoo is just amazing. The haunted house was our favorite part for sure. Riley loved it and was looking around in amazement most of the night. Look at her looking at this woman in the pic down below! Quite a costume!

It's Supergirl!

This was Riley's "first" Halloween evening. We ended up going to the Everett Mall where she trick-or-treated. It was interesting to watch her. She didn't understand why people were putting candy in her bucket at first, but when she did, she didn't want to eat any of the candy and wanted to keep going to the different people to get more. She loved it! Even now, in January, she asks me to put the Supergirl costume on her and she races through the house yelling "Soop-girl!"

Spider Hat

Riley made this hat at day care and loved it so much she would put it on whenever she got home. Posted by Picasa

Pumpkin Carving

Riley was no too impressed with pumpkin carving, but was a great observer.

Purple Boots

Sunday morning we decided to go to our favorite breakfast restaurant. Of course, Riley had a complete meltdown as she was wanting to wear her "Purple" boots, not the brown ones I had put on her. It was a huge fight to get her out the door, but luckily we did.

On the drive, Jason is feeling proud as his little girl is wearing her Seahawks (he calls it Seagals) dress, he is wearing his jersey, and all is well in the world.

Then we get to the restaurant. Unbeknownst to us, Riley had confiscated a purple marker from home and had been busy the whole drive to the restaurant making her nice new brown boots the color -- you guessed it -- purple! Yep, that's right.

While waiting for our table, Riley said, "Look mama, purple boots."
