Check out the Jumping Video!

Don't forget to look at some of the videos over on the side of the blog. The newest ones I put on is of Riley jumping over Jason's leg, which she tries to get in every evening! Her favorite saying is, "No -- I do by MYSELF!" The other ones are of the park - again - and Riley singing. She "Loves" to sing. Her favorite songs to sing are Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, Itsy-Bitsy Spider, Ring around the Rosies, and Wheels on the Bus. I am finally caught up with my work - for a little while anyway - and so I have been able to get caught up on some things. So looking forward to Jason being done with school!!

Happy Valentine's Day!!

Riley had a great Valentine's Days. She chose Thomas the Train valentines to take to day care, and had a great time helping me put them together. She stuck the candy in each one and kept saying, "Mama, Candy!!," as if I was going to forget. She made great projects at day care. One of them was a pasta necklace. They actually dyed the pasta red! The others were a hat and a valentine heart with legs. She had a very fun day!

It's All About the Bus!

We live by several very nice parks; however, Riley will only let us go to this park as it has this little bus that she loves. (It's actually a fire truck, but a school bus is much more exciting to her at this point!!)

Screwdriver

Riley and daddy are working on the computer. She took on this endeavor very seriously, and now, every time something doesn't work right, she asks for a screwdriver. This includes her baby doll not able to get out of the crib through the bars!!

The weather has been great the last couple of days, so Riley and I have been hitting the parks! Wow - we haven't been to the park in a while, and I can't believe how much she has changed just in that little time! The things that I used to have to help her with, she no longer needs (or wants) my help with. Riley has quite an imagination. This play-thing that she is on now looks somewhat like a boat. Riley would slide down the slide, scream "Sharks, Sharks, Sharks," then run around as fast as she could to the other side and climb up, do the whole thing over again. Several times she would warn me also about the sharks, and I would have to stand up on the play area with her!

Halloween 2006

Riley had two different halloweens this year. I really wanted to take in the Woodland Zoo Halloween, which was on a weekend, not Halloween. We were so glad we did this. We recommend it to anyone! We had such a great time and the set up they do at the zoo is just amazing. The haunted house was our favorite part for sure. Riley loved it and was looking around in amazement most of the night. Look at her looking at this woman in the pic down below! Quite a costume!

It's Supergirl!

This was Riley's "first" Halloween evening. We ended up going to the Everett Mall where she trick-or-treated. It was interesting to watch her. She didn't understand why people were putting candy in her bucket at first, but when she did, she didn't want to eat any of the candy and wanted to keep going to the different people to get more. She loved it! Even now, in January, she asks me to put the Supergirl costume on her and she races through the house yelling "Soop-girl!"

Spider Hat

Riley made this hat at day care and loved it so much she would put it on whenever she got home. Posted by Picasa

Pumpkin Carving

Riley was no too impressed with pumpkin carving, but was a great observer.

Purple Boots

Sunday morning we decided to go to our favorite breakfast restaurant. Of course, Riley had a complete meltdown as she was wanting to wear her "Purple" boots, not the brown ones I had put on her. It was a huge fight to get her out the door, but luckily we did.

On the drive, Jason is feeling proud as his little girl is wearing her Seahawks (he calls it Seagals) dress, he is wearing his jersey, and all is well in the world.

Then we get to the restaurant. Unbeknownst to us, Riley had confiscated a purple marker from home and had been busy the whole drive to the restaurant making her nice new brown boots the color -- you guessed it -- purple! Yep, that's right.

While waiting for our table, Riley said, "Look mama, purple boots."

Time for Teddy to potty

Riley loves to read while on the potty, just like her daddy

Witch's Brew!

1. Boil pasta until el dente

2. Add one purple crayola crayon

3. Attempt to retrieve before crayola melts.

(Yes, Riley Roo loves throwing things and tossed the crayon in the pasta! Funny now, however, not so funny at the time as I have a very small window to do dinner before Jason has to leave for class!)

Pumpkins - pumpkins everywhere!

We had a great time over Jason's birthday! We went to Leavenworth and met Jason's parents, Uncle Jermy (as riley calls him) and Aunt Val. What a great fun town. The fish hatchery had "Salmon Fest days" and Jason ran in a small marathon there. Wow - the hatchery there put on a very impressive festival. I hope my dad can go next year as I think he would really enjoy seeing it.

We also went to this pumpkin patch where there was a petting zoo, play area, and a great farm with many yummy things!

Leavenworth is a pretty impressive little town with tons of character! There is something to see and do at every corner - literally
